pAt approximately 1140 am New Canaan Firefighters were dispatched to 90 Main St for a general fire alarm. As crews were donning their equipment a contractor ran into the fire house reporting a structure fire at this location. As Engine 1 arrived Captain Socci confirmed a fire in the store room of the furniture store. As crews stretched a line to the fire a water can was used to keep the fire in check. Once the line arrived crews pushed in and found heavy fire but managed to made quick work of the 25×14 store room. Units operated on scene for a while as the Fire Marshal conducted his investigation. New Canaan units onscene were Engine 1 Ladder 3 NCFC Car 1 and Assistant Chief Hennessey was the IC.
